Highlighted Extracurricular Activities of VAS Students - March 2025
In March, VAS organized a variety of meaningful activities to create enriching playgrounds that encourage students to develop holistically—physically, intellectually, and socially. Let’s take a look at some of the most outstanding events!
VAS Olympics 2024-2025
The biggest sports tournament of the school year took place in a vibrant atmosphere with the participation of students from six VAS campuses, ranging from Kindergarten to High School. Hundreds of VASers competed in six categories: football, basketball, swimming, individual & giant chess, cheerleading & flashmob, and athletics.
The Finals on March 22 featured intense competitions and glorious moments as champions from all VAS campuses rose to the top:
- Garden Hill took home the Overall Championship, Sala came in Second Place, and Ba Tháng Hai secured Third Place.
- VAS Olympics is not only a large-scale, professional competition involving hundreds of students across six campuses, but also a valuable opportunity for students to connect, compete, and showcase their talents. More than just medals, it promoted team spirit, determination, and the mindset of never giving up.

The 12th annual Robotics competition for Grades 4–5 took place on March 20 with the theme "Robo-Olympics: Champions of Motion."
Over 60 contestants from six campuses competed in two categories: Sumo Competition and Football Competition, showcasing creativity in design, programming, and teamwork.

Previously, in January 2025, the VAS Robotics 2025 competition for Secondary students and ECA Robotics & Drone for Primary students also attracted strong student interest. These events were not only creative playgrounds but also stepping stones for students to develop their tech skills in preparation for bigger competitions ahead.
Field Trip to PRO Farm for Primary Students
Students from Grades 1–4 across the VAS system enjoyed a hands-on learning experience at Pro Farm this March. The field trip connected classroom knowledge to real-life applications through various enriching activities such as traditional pottery-making, crafting succulent plants, and participating in both physical and folk games.
This trip wasn’t just about fun—it gave students the chance to practice communication and teamwork skills, while also cultivating a love for nature and a deeper appreciation for traditional values.
“Cần Thơ – Road to Net Zero” Journey for Secondary VASERs
Alongside their Primary peers, Grade 6 & 7 students from across VAS embarked on an exciting field trip to Cần Thơ, exploring the culture of the Mekong Delta while spreading the message of green living.
Key activities included: team-building at Cần Thơ Eco Resort, a green lifestyle quiz gameshow, visiting Cồn Sơn, making traditional cakes, experiencing fish massage therapy, and developing a sustainable ecotourism project.
The journey wrapped up with a memorable Gathering Night – Road to Zero, where students shared reflections and showcased impressive art performances. Beyond the unforgettable memories, this trip raised environmental awareness and encouraged a greater sense of community responsibility.
These activities not only enriched students’ knowledge and practical skills but also helped nurture their confidence, teamwork, and creativity. VAS will continue providing meaningful playgrounds and opportunities to support students in becoming well-rounded individuals.
