The young mathematicians from VAS emerged victorious at the Saigon Maths Competition
The young mathematicians from VAS have once again showcased their exceptional abilities with a resounding victory at the Saigon Maths Competition held recently at VAS Sala Campus. The competition brought together 75 students from international schools in Ho Chi Minh City.
Recently, 9th and 10th-grade students representing the Vietnam Australia International School (VAS) participated in the Saigon Maths Competition for international schools in the city. This dynamic and enriching event provided a platform for young mathematical talents to challenge their problem-solving skills, critical thinking, as well as to engage in exchange and learn from their peers and teachers.
At the competition, the VAS students demonstrated remarkable skills in logical thinking, deductive reasoning, teamwork, and a strong determination to succeed. Surpassing formidable competitors from other international schools in the city, VAS achieved outstanding accomplishments, including:
- First Prize (Team): VAS Team 1, comprised of exceptional individuals: Trương Công Tuệ (Garden Hills Campus), Tạ Quang Dũng (Riverside Campus), Mai Lê Bá Thành (Ba Tháng Hai Campus), and Thi Hoàng Minh (Sala Campus).
- Second Prize (Individual): Tạ Quang Dũng (Riverside Campus) and Thi Hoàng Minh (Sala Campus).
In addition to the winning teams, VAS takes great pride in acknowledging the exceptional performance of the students from Teams 2 and 3, who demonstrated their utmost dedication and shone brightly in their mathematical abilities at the competition:
- Team 2: Tran Trung Khang (Hoang Van Thu campus), Phang Minh Phat (Hoang Van Thu campus), Lai Bao Duy (Garden Hills campus), Nguyen Ngoc Thien (Sunrise campus).
- Team 3: Tran Anh Kiet (Garden Hills campus), Lishanth Logaraju (Ba Thang Hai campus), Truong Ba Anh (Sala campus), Ngo Ngoc Uyen Minh (Sala campus).
