VAS conducts training for over 1,000 Moet and Cambridge teachers ahead of the new school year
From July 26th to August 9th, the Vietnam Australia International School (VAS) successfully conducted its annual training program for over 1,000 MOET and Cambridge teachers across its six campuses.
The training program for new teachers was held from July 26th to 31st, followed by a comprehensive training for all VAS teachers from August 1st to 9th.
In addition to training sessions led by VAS's Academic Board, the school also invited experts from the DOET textbook program, skills training specialists, and representatives from Cambridge University Press to participate in the sessions.
The training covered a wide range of topics, including professional development, skills enhancement, updates on curriculum changes, teaching methodologies, and assessment systems for both MOET and Cambridge programs. It also included the latest educational technologies, digital tools, and online platforms designed to enrich the teaching and learning experience, as well as VAS’s core values, culture, and professional conduct guidelines.
Ms. Nguyễn Thị Thanh Xuân, Principal of the VAS system, emphasized: "From innovative teaching methods to advanced educational technologies, we have crafted a robust program to support the continuous learning and development of our teachers. I am confident that our educators will be inspired, empowered, and brimming with fresh ideas to bring to their classrooms."
The training program is an annual event at VAS, supplemented by various in-depth training sessions throughout the school year. These initiatives aim to continuously update teachers with the latest knowledge, skills, and tools to enhance the quality of education and the learning experience for students. It is also an opportunity for VAS teachers to share experiences, exchange innovative ideas, and inspire each other for an energetic and successful new school year.
Mr. Patrick Panian, Academic Manager for Kindergarten and Primary, and advisor of the training program at VAS, added: “It is inspiring to see the school's enthusiastic team of teachers working together to provide students with a good educational program. The energy and excitement of the teachers is palpable, and I am confident that this year's Induction Training Program will equip our teachers with the skills and knowledge needed to make a lasting impact on student learning.”
