VAS Students Win Second Prize at the 2025 National Startup Competition for Students
On April 20, at the award ceremony for outstanding projects of the 2025 National Startup Competition for Students, the project “ReBook – Giving Old Books a New Life, Spreading Knowledge Endlessly” by VAS Hoang Van Thu students excellently won Second Prize.
The project surpassed 775 projects nationwide and 125 projects in the Final Round.
ReBook is a platform that connects people who have used books with those in need, offering a cost-saving, eco-friendly solution while spreading the value of knowledge within the community. The project was carried out by students Hai Quynh, Phuong Anh, Phuong Nam, Bao Tran, and Clara Thao Vy, with the aim of promoting a meaningful message and a vision for sustainable development.
This award is a recognition of the creativity, aspiration to contribute, and persistent efforts of VAS students in their journey to bring ideas to life for a better society.
Let’s hear the heartfelt reflections from the project members:
“I’m truly grateful to our mentor for the dedication, valuable contributions, and silent companionship throughout our journey. I’m also thankful for the support and encouragement from teachers and the school – all of these became a strong motivation that helped us stay steady with each step.” (Phuong Anh)
“The project began with a simple idea but carried within it the desire to make a positive change in the community. I’ve faced doubts, pressure, and even my own limitations. But it was during those difficult moments that I learned how to be resilient, to listen, to adapt, and to grow bit by bit.” (Hai Quynh)
“This competition is not only a place for students to present creative ideas, but also a valuable opportunity to learn about entrepreneurship, business thinking, and how to turn an idea into reality. What I learned the most was the spirit of daring to think and daring to act.” (Phuong Nam)
“I want to emphasize that ReBook is not just a startup idea for a competition, but also a part of my personal growth journey. Therefore, after this contest, I hope ReBook will continue to accompany everyone and bring positive values to society.” (Bao Tran)
“I feel truly thankful to have worked with such a wonderful team. Everyone always understood, supported, and encouraged each other through every challenge. Thanks to that team spirit, this journey became more complete. I know that when I grow up, I may forget the names of some lessons in textbooks, but I will never forget the feelings of those days, when I was part of something meaningful, beautiful, and unforgettable.” (Clara Thao Vy)
Congratulations to our students on this proud achievement! We wish ReBook will continue to grow and carry on its journey of spreading knowledge within the community!
