VASers and the journey of delivering beautiful living values through community projects

HP91 – Wings of Dreams donated to the Vaccine Fund against Covid-19

Due to the complicated developments of a new Covid-19 outbreak, doctors and healthcare workers have battled hard to ensure the safety of citizens. In response to the government’s call on support, the members of Project HP91 – Wings of Dreams have decided to join hands together with the whole country to fight against the epidemic by drawing on their fund and making a donation of 10 million VND to the Covid-19 Vaccine Fund.

With the spirit of “Together we can change the world,” the project believes that every single donation not only has a meaning of love for the community, but also protects ourselves, our family, and the entire society.

SWAPZZ – Come Here And Exchange, from the concern to the journey of lighting “green” fire for the VAS Greeneration community

Being crowned champion at VAS Community 2020 Competition and funded 40 million VND, the project “SWAPZZ – COME HERE AND EXCHANGE” has taken their first essential steps to  undertake the mission of protecting the environment and raise the awareness of the VAS community in particular, and the society in general.

With the concern of making the sustainable lifestyle a habit of the community, SWAPZZ organized two exchange markets on Feb 29 and April 8. At these markets, students can bring old items such as clothes, phone cases, books… which are still usable and exchange them for other stuff they would like to.

The project with the motto - “When you get bored, pass it again!” has approached thousands of students and helped more than 800 valuable items not be “abandoned,” which helps reduce the amount of household waste discharged into the environment. The remaining items after the markets were donated to the children at the Thi Nghe Center for Disabled orphans.

The practical implication of SWAPZZ project has attracted the attention of VAS community and lightened the “green” fire for VASers at Ba Thang Hai campus where 15 students volunteer their participation and will continue running the project with the plan for annual exchange markets held in the coming years.

Project Lightening up the knowledge calls VASers for donation to the campaign “The summer of knowledge 2021”

Following the journey of spreading love, the students of the group project “Lightening up the knowledge” at Hoang Van Thu campus will give 20 Aser solar-powered lights to the children in the areas of Tuc Trung village, Dinh Quan district, Dong Nai province where there is no access to the national electricity grid and 30 lights to the orphans affected by the heavy storms and floods in the Central region last October.

Along with assembling the lights, the project also collaborated with the “Morning Tony” production team to send spiritual gift cards and sponsored gifts to 200 orphans in difficult circumstances.

Not only does project “Lightening up the knowledge” excellently become the only project in the Top 3 of VAS Community Competition for three consecutive years, the project has provided hundreds of solar lights for students in remote areas, presented Christmas gifts to more than 200 disadvantaged Vietnamese Cambodian children and planted 1,185 trees in An Giang, Son La, and Dak Lak provinces in order to cover the barren hills with greenery and help the residents earn their living.

Live to love with the community project “Being attentive and sympathetic listeners of the elderly”

“Being attentive and sympathetic listeners of the elderly” is a project nurtured by 12B1 and 12B2 students at Ba Thang Hai campus. The project was born to bring more positive changes to the elderly’s mental health ad won the Consolation prize at VAS Community Competition 2020-2021.

With the money accumulated from fundraising activities, on 21/02/2021, VAS students visited Binh My Nursing home and gave sincere love, blessings, and meaningful gifts to the elderly at the center. By singing beautiful melodies with gentle love, these VASers helped the elderly recall the happiest moments of their youth and listened to their stories.

The project has brought the children memorable experiences and deep emotions when they stay calm and appreciate every moment of the life. The meaningful activities of the project have been spreading and attracting the participation of Grade 11 students, thereby continuing to receive the love from future VAS generations.
