VAS 2018 Olympic Finals – The rain of emotions
Although the weather was a bit inconvenient, it did not affect the heat of the competitions taking place in the VAS 2018 Olympic Finals. In spite of having to perform under the light rain in late March, VAS athletes from all ages and all levels have made their best efforts to make their performances wonderful and emotional.
The VAS 2018 Olympic Finals were held at the Military Stadium 7 in Tan Binh District on Saturday, 31st March, 2018 and attracted the participation of more than 1,500 pupils and nearly 3,000 parents.
Following the VAS Olympics traditions, the show opens with a vibrant flashmod performance, with the word "VAS" appearing in the middle of the pitch as a symbol of honor.
Right after the opening performance, the running tracks, football field, chess boards, and arena quickly heated with the exciting competitions. This year, besides the big competition with intensive competitive spirit including chess, athletics, swimming, basketball, soccer and archery, VAS OLYMPICS 2018 also offered a variety of motivational and fun-filled games for all VAS students. These included activities such as, jumping in sandbags, hula hooping, mountain climbing, sumo wrestling, racing, and a giant caterpillar.
At the end of the competitions, the winning talents were recognized on the VAS OLYMPIC stage. The Ba Thang Hai campus won the championship with an impressive achievement of 16 gold medals, 15 silver medals and 6 bronze medals. In addition, the VAS U16 team also won over the Arsenal Football School in the Finale of the Saigon Champion League with the score 5-0. The match was held under the organization of VAS OLYMPICS 2018.
The effort of the all athletes were well paid off. New young talents were timely discovered and fostered to maximize their potential. VAS OLYMPICS 2018 is really a large and professional playground specially designed and held to boost talents among all VAS students throughout the school system.
