"VASers for the Community” Program 2016-2017 school year

All VAS Primary and Secondary students are eligble to participate in the "VASers for the Community" program in groups of from 2 to 10 students, irrespective of their age and grade. There are two rounds including the First and the Final Round which comprises 3 stages namely proposals, presentations, and implementation, evaluation and development. Each group can make their own choice from a wide range of community activities such as charity, environment, education, attitude and behavior, etc…, while using a wide variety of media such as pictures, movies, books, exhibition, and online to convey their message.

This is the first time the Vietnam Australia International School launched such a large scale  community program for the students throughout the system. This will help promote the students’ sense of responsibility to the community - one of the criteria to help them make a good impression when applying for studying abroad or for international scholarships. In addition, "VASers for the Community" also fosters students’ skills in planning and  organizing community events while inspiring them and the community in such core values as National Pride, Respect and Teamwork.
