Preschool Learning Project – Dentist Project

The main objectives of the Dentist Project are:

1. Awareness development: With teachers’ help and orientation, the children can find answers to their questions about oral healthcare through pictures, books, movies and so on. They learn about teeth development, teeth quantity, teeth cleaning, dentists’ tasks, decayed teeth experiment on egg shells and shells.

Visiting a dentist’s office and meeting dentists

2. Language development: Children learn new vocabulary about dentistry and oral health with teachers.

3. Socio-emotional development: Children know how to collaborate and share when they participate in group activities such as doing experiments, learning how to brush teeth correctly, visiting a dentist’s office, meeting with dentists to talk and learn from them, etc.

4. Aesthetic development: Children produce paintings to present to dentists, cut and paste paper to make teeth models, etc.

Through the Dentist Project, children know how to perform dental care in an accurate way for the sake of good teeth and beautiful smiles, as well as work in projects. This is a firm start for children to become familiar with carrying out projects and working independently.
