VAS Students experience nature

One Day at the An Nhon Mushroom Farm

One fun day of being farmers for 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students begins by grazing the dairy cows, visiting the orchid garden and learning the practical process of planting and harvesting mushrooms. It turns out that working on the farm not only requires diligence and hard work but also the basic knowledge of biology, chemistry, and the climate ... And to have those tasty glasses of milk in the morning or some delicious mushroom dishes brought to us through a lot of sweat and labor of the farmers.

Through this visit, the pupils reinforce their knowledge of science and study interesting lessons about farming. Many of them even dream of establishing a huge farm in the future to provide fresh vegetables and other food for the whole city.

The Journey of Discovering Madagui

Located 152km to the west of Ho Chi Minh City, Madagui is an attractive destination for VAS high school students who are enthusiastic to explore nature. During the trip of 2 days and 1 night, the 6th, 7th and 8th grade students had an unforgettable experience and built new life-long friendships. They also trained their new living skills and learned about the surrounding ecosystems.

The students participated in many group activities and physical exercises such as cooking, boating, hiking, fashion shows, a campfire singing contest, etc…The trip is also an opportunity for them to improve their VAS core values ​​such as Team Spirit, National Pride, Confidence, Respect, and Integrity ...

Experience the nature at Binh Chau - Ho Coc

During this trip, VAS students from 9th to 12th grades had the opportunity to visit Binh Chau hot springs so as to learn about the effects of volcanic formations. In the afternoon, students participated in various “team work" games conducted in English near the Ho Coc Beach with the overall topic being about environment protection: picking up and sorting garbage, recycling and protecting water resources. Evenings were the time for campfire activities with lots of fun games and unique dances.

In addition, they also experienced underwater sports in the Swimming Pool and played Water Polo before going back to HCMC. Their personal luggage brought back after such a trip to the wilds of nature is more than just the clothes they brought with them, they return with a sense of protecting the planet Earth and the unforgettable memories created from their carefree youth.
