Nature conquering robots designed by VAS students

" Nature Conquering Robots" was the theme for the 2017 VAS Robocon Competition  held by the Vietnam Australia International School! This annually held activity is specially designed for the 4th and 5th graders to enhance their passion for science and stimulate their creativity and critical thinking skills.

Following the success of previous competitions, the 2017 VAS Robocon Competition was launched in February 2017. To win a place in the finale, the teams participated in two challenges including “Off-road” and “Seafaring” races. From the very beginning, the atmosphere of the race was exciting with cheering and shouting from the supporters of different teams.

This year, the robots were very well-designed. They were all compact, eye-catching, and well-functioning. All of the teams, had a strong “teamwork” spirit, and they worked really hard to find appropriate strategies and tactics to pass the set roadblocks and deal with technical problems.

After more than two hours of tight races, the organizers finally found the winner of VAS Robocon Competition 2017! In the "Off-road Robot," challenge, Ba Thang Hai Campus won the championship while the First Prize for the "Seafaring robot" went to Tran Cao Van Campus. Congratulations to our young inventors and their admirable victories!
