Summer Program 2013 kick off
I. Preschool Summer Program - Discovering multiple intelligences:
The Preschool Summer Program is specially designed based on the theory of "Multiple Intelligences" by Dr. Howard Gardner opening a view that is different from the traditional belief in the field of education and cognitive science previously. According to the foundation of this theory, the summer activities at VAS are designed based on different intelligences of each child:
1. Language Intelligence
2. Music Intelligence
3. Logic Intelligence
4. Image Intelligence
5. Physical Intelligence
6. Natural Intelligence
7. Inner Intelligence
8. Interactive Intelligence
In addition to the skills taught in Vietnamese by 100% of preschool teachers with bachelor's degrees in pedagogy, children also participate in two English classes per day with 100% native teachers.
The Preschool Summer Program will offer children the opportunity to show their intelligences based on the needs, interests and talents. This will help them learn with great enthusiasm, self-confidence and optimism and enhance their creativity in solving problems in life.
II. Primary and Secondary Summer Programs – Preparing language skills and study skills for Cambridge International Program:
These are special programs to prepare language skills, thinking skills and study skills for students to meet the requirements of innovative teaching and learning to enter the Cambridge International Program in the 2013-2014 school year.
Primary Summer Program offers active, fun and useful activities:
- Talent clubs to help children enhance their physical and aesthetic aptitudes.
- Exploring nature with outdoor activities.
- Improving emotional intelligence with Smartvalues sharing activities - The value of love.
- Experiencing creativity through images, audios and designated software.
- And above all, knowledge revision activities and intensive English programs to prepare children thoroughly for the Cambridge International Program.
For Secondary Summer Program, this will be a totally new experience for students with a series of activities and practices in:
The training program "I Am Gifted, So Are You!" helps children build self-esteem and self-confidence in life and apply the principles of the brain to achieving optimal learning methods.
- Science projects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology applied to production, marketing plans, business plans and community development activities.
- Applying multimedia communication in learning, design, filmmaking and editing images.
- Developing and improving physical strength with sports clubs and arts.
- Especially, the intensive English program focused on such skills like essay writing, academic reading comprehension and communication helps students familiarize themselves with innovative learning methods to prepare for the Cambridge International Program.
The duration of the programs is from June 10 to July 26, 2013. The school offers a 20% discount for registrations of the whole course before June 01, 2013.
