Exciting sharing movement
Late last December, the campus held an event for all students to "break their piggy banks" to see how much they had been able to save. It was fun and happy to witness them break into their ‘bank’ and count the money for contributions together in joy. Happiness was seen on the face of each student. They were happy because you were thinking of the poor in distant places and constraints that need to be shared. The school carried out a meaningful activity to welcome springtime joys that were filling hamlets, villages and cities.
After calculating the savings, students and teachers found places in need of help and paid a visit to Le Van The Primary School in Cu Chi on January 08, 2013; had fun and offered gifts to children at an orphanage at Ky Quang Pagoda in Go Vap District on January 09, 2013; especially, a two-day trip by students of Class 6.1 and Class 8.1 representing other students of the school to Di Da Temple to give gifts to children with difficult circumstances in Dang Dung Hamlet to give gifts to 100 poor households of Chau Ma ethnic minorities. What was highly appreciated in the past trip was a ton of rice by parents of class 6.1 students. The event ended with a visit to an orphanage at Bo De Dao Trang Temple in Binh Duong on January 26.
It was a humane and meaningful activity for each student of Vietnam Australia International School. The school hopes the trips would offer students more necessary real-life experiences so that they know what to do for other people who are really in need of help. Especially, each student would lend a hand to help a lot of underprivileged people in our society.
Now, let's "lend a hand of love" to our needy friends so that Spring 2013 is filled with warmth and love!
