U15 and U8 VAS winning the Saigon Football Premier League Championship 5-2017
The sweat and effort of VAS players have been rewarded with two championship trophies for the U15 team and the U8 team at the Saigon Football Premier League on 5 -2017
After more than a month of competing at the qualifying rounds, VAS's four junior teams finally won tickets to the final round of the Saigon 7th Premier League, jointly held by Arsenal Soccer Academy and Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports.
Earlier, the VAS teams excitedly finished all the matches with wonderful victories, including 3 wins and a draw, at Hoa Lu stadium. In the opening match, VAS U15 won 7-0 against FOX BVIS; VAS U12 won 3-0 against VJIS (Vietnamese - Japanese Football Center); VAS U8 won 2-1 against ARSENAL Academy; and VAS U10 and ARSENAL Football Academy had a draw of 2-2;
VAS teams maintained the top position, owning the stadium throughout the season and VAS U15 and U8 proudly won championships. Also in this tournament, VAS U12 were runners-up and U10 VAS came in fourth at the final round. VAS teams were also awarded with the FAIR PLAY title for being the teams with the most fair play and impressive performances on the field!
In terms of individual recognition, VAS had three players to be honored, with Lam Hoang Lam, U15 of BTH campus, and Trinh Nguyen Hai Linh, U8 of Garden Hill campus, both winning the Best Player Award for their age level, while Ho Thanh Danh, U12 of Sunrise campus, achieving the Best Goal Keeper Award.
This is a glorious victory for the VAS teams on their debut at a professional playground like Saigon Premier League. They brought home proud achievements for our school! In addition to our provision of knowledge and skills for the students, VAS is also very strong at discovering and fostering individual student’s talents and potentials.
