Excellent VAS Homeroom Teachers Contest 2016-2017

Each student has their own personality, and a homeroom teacher plays a very important role in the development of personality and qualities of the children! In order to help the teachers demonstrate their competencies and exchange experience, VAS organizes An Excellent Homeroom Teachers Contest once every two years.

The Contest is organized once every two years

This year, the Final round of the contest took place on May 6th, 2017 at Ba Thang Hai campus with the participation of the top 25 primary and high school homeroom teachers from the entire system. To be represented in the Finale, the teachers had to compete in the Selection rounds at their campuses and receive appreciation from the Campus manager and the Professional assistants.

Attracting the homeroom teachers’s participation of the whole system

The tests in the Finale were indeed exciting and interesting. The teachers directly responded to the Judges' behavioral scenarios with regards to the education and care for the students, especially those with special conditions. Many valuable experiences and good lessons were shared and inspired other teachers from the whole system.

The final result was, Ms. Tran Thi Thuy Phuong, the homeroom teacher of class 2.11, Ba Thang Hai campus won the first prize in Primary grade; First prize in high school grade belongs to Ms. Nguyen Thi Nga, the homeroom teacher of class 7.2, Hoang Van Thu campus.

Rewarding the excellent homeroom teachers

The contest is also an opportunity for the school to discover and honor the teachers who can be role models for other teachers, thereby improving the teaching methods of all teachers and strengthening the VAS team. Then a training plan can be built to improve the ability of all teachers to educate and care for the students.
