VAS Community Programme 2016 - Winning of the ‘Passionate Hearts’ project

Presented at the final round, the participants had put in a tremendous amount of effort to lead during the first rounds of the competition, actively working on their field survey, collecting information and data, as well as fundraising at the campuses. Over the two rounds of presentations and debating, it was evident that the contribution of all the teams this year showed such impressive, careful planning of team projects and a lot more maturity than seen in previous competitions. All teams showed intense passion for their community activities throughout the humane topics and practical activities.

Let’s look at the exciting moments of the contest

The team from class 9.2, Sunrise campus on the topic of ‘Developing good behavior before puberty’ received 70 million VND worth of funding from the Orgnanising Committee and the Swimming Sparrow from Garden Hills campus with the topic of “Children with heart diseases” has received 30 million VND in funding.

Honored the winners

The Orgnanising Committee has decided to give the ‘Encouraging award’ for the team from the class 5.6 of 3/2 campus with the topic “Opinions about pollution”. They were the youngest candidates and blew the judges away with their innocence, extreme confidence and enthusiasm.

2 little guys with one giant dream

VAS hopes that with the efforts of the junior community activists and the financial support from the organizers, in the second phase of the competition (fundraising and deployment), the three projects will be apllied efficienciently and create make a difference both inside and outside of VAS.
