VAS summarizing academic year 2013-2014
Cambridge International Program
In the Cambridge International Programme from grade 1 to grade 8, 626 students achieved the highest scores for all 3 subjects of English, Mathematics and Science. Besides, for the IGCSE programme (International General Certificate of Secondary Education), 53% of 9th grade students of the school achieved an A for 3 subjects and more and 30 students of 9th grade in particular got an A and A+ for all 4 subjects (English, Mathematics, Business Studies and Information and Communication Technology). This has been the highest score of IGCSE programme.
IELTS results of grade 11 students were very positive, including 92.31% of students achieving 5.5 or above, in which 56.41% gaining a band score of 6.5 plus. With IELTS 6.5, students are eligible to study at prestigious universities in the world. In particular, Nghiem Phu Hai, a 12th grader received scholarships from 10 universities and colleges, including 3 of the world’s top 100, worth nearly U.S. $1 million.
MOET Programme
In the MOET Programme, 99.1% of primary pupils, 91.2% lower secondary school students and 79% Upper Secondary School students achieved Fair and Good grades. Among them, 100% of 5th graders successfully completed primary school with 50.1% achieving a perfect score of 20/20 in graduation exams. Nearly 250 students got prizes in the contests of district, city and nationwide levels, with 15 students excelling in the city-level Primary School TOEFL Championship and 2 winning the Consolation prize in the nationwide contest of Olympic English on the Internet and many awards in academic and aptitude tests such as painting, sports, etc.

In the 2013-2014 academic year, extracurricular activities for all levels were participated actively by students in the school system:
Preschool
- Learning projects: Plant, Fish, Dentist, Cook.
- Green tour: learning about organic vegetables
Primary
- Exchanging with Fuhua Primary School (Singapore)
- English-practicing tours: City Tour, Museum, White Rabbit Park, Zoo
- Camping and fieldtrips: visiting the heroic land of Cu Chi, harvesting fresh vegetables in Hoc Mon, collecting peas in Cu Chi, etc.
- Creative Robocon Contest 2014
- Quiz programmes: Golden Bell, Fun Learning Month
Secondary School
- Animation project: "When the ocean confronted the olive tree" and "The Trung sisters"
- VAS established the Student Council at Hoang Van Thu Campus and Ba Thang Hai Campus with the following activities: Prom Night, Illusion Night, Binh Duong Charity, Spring Flowers Festival and Food Fair, Valentine’s Day, Free Friday, etc.

Teacher training and retraining programmes
- In July and August 2013 and March 2014, VAS was entrusted by Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) to organize 3 professional training workshops for 250 Primary and Secondary teachers of the Cambridge International Programme in Vietnam and Southeast Asia.

The results of the 2013-2014 school year motivated VAS teachers to continue striving for the 2014-2015 academic year more successfully and implement oriented learning programs for Secondary School students. VAS believes that, in the coming years, the students will further develop and improve their academic skills.
