Well-Behaved Children Praised at VAS
The ceremony for the VAS Kindergarten class of 2016 took place in a joyful, meaningful and exciting atmosphere. Lots of little pupils were present earlier than expected before the ceremony in order to take pictures with their parents and teachers, take advantage of the time to have fun with friends and to eagerly await the moment to receive their rewards. The senior pupils of Kindergarten were very receptive and excited when they first put on their Graduation gowns.
Before getting to the praising section of the ceremony, the pupils listened to the advice from the School Board of Directors and the Principal. Throughout the last school year, besides the education of: personal awareness, a sense of community, physical education, language, social-emotional and aesthetic lessons; VAS Kindergarten pupils had also been involved in several interesting career projects such as: becoming dentists, photographers, architects, teachers or projects like “Food Around Us", “Fresh vegetables”...etc.
In addition, the 4 campuses of VAS Kindergarten have also organized many festivals for children, such as “Baby Joyfully Going to School Festival”, “Full Moon Festival”, “Halloween”, “Vietnamese Teacher Day 20/11”, “Christmas”, “Flowers Fair”, “Multi-Cultural Festival”, “I Can Do Festival”...etc. They also regularly participated in fun and practical activities such as going to the bookstore, the supermarket, visiting the Palace of Independence, the Zoo, playing at Three Brooms Cafeteria, visiting primary schools ...etc. These programs have helped them develop comprehensive capabilities and visual perceptions of the world around them.
The ceremony also has heart-warming, indispensable and lively musical performances by the VAS Kindergarten pupils themselves. With both the innocent and the serious practice of their preparation, they had brought a lot of joy and laughter to the teachers, their parents and their friends through a very cute but meaningful variety of songs and dances; especially the Belly Dance, the Minion Dance, the play "Snow White and the Seven Dwarves."
In order for the pupils to obtain these successful achievements, the support of the parents and the love and devotion of the teachers played a positive role in making this happen. Speaking at the ceremony, the Principal – Excellent Teacher Nguyen Hoa Mai said, "Being a mother, grandmother, and above all a teacher, I understand the pride of the parents to see the development that their children make day by day. I also understand the hard work, difficulties and patience of the Kindergarten teacher when they take the mothers’ place teaching the children the values, habits, behaviors and good living skills with a pedagogical art and above all, a deep love for these children."
