VASers donate and present books, rice, and old clothes to disadvantaged students at a charity school in Ward 25, Binh Thanh District
With the idea of giving books in exchange of green sprouts, the project team called for book donations, raising funds to consume rice as well as collecting used clothes from students at the school every week. This project has won the Third prize and been funded through the “VASers for Community” programme 2019 – 2020.
In addition to helping disadvantaged students at Ward 25 charity school, the project's goal is to spread the environmental protection awareness and encourage the reading culture of the VAS student community.
During the visit, the project team, teachers and supporting staff from Sala Mega campus also hosted diverse activities such as music performances, sharing sessions and games to interact with the disadvantaged students and encourage them stay positive in life.
With the heartfelt sharing and meaningful gifts, VASers aim to bring joy and hope to these less fortunate youths, as well as motivating them to keep the learning spirit aflame to lead to a vibrant and fulfilling life.
