Vietnam Australia International School (VAS) is seeking a proactive, strategic, and tech-savvy Microsoft Educational Solutions Specialist to lead digital learning initiatives across VAS. This role is responsible for driving the adoption and effective integration of Microsoft 365 tools to enhance both instruction and operational efficiency. The specialist will work closely with teachers, school leaders, and IT teams to ensure that technology is pedagogically sound, user-friendly, and scalable.
The ideal candidate is bilingual (English & Vietnamese), experienced in K-12 education, and skilled in instructional technology and change management. This role will require travel between multiple campuses and involve collaboration across departments to maximize technology’s impact on student learning.
1.Job Description:
Key Outcomes
- Improve Teacher Proficiency: Ensure at least 80% of teachers actively use Microsoft 365 tools beyond basic applications to enhance instruction.
- Enhance Digital Learning: Implement strategies that lead to measurable improvements in student engagement and learning outcomes through Microsoft technology.
- Drive Adoption and Change Management: Foster a culture of digital innovation, reducing resistance to technology adoption.
- Optimize Microsoft Teams Classrooms: Establish clear guidelines, templates, and best practices for structured and effective digital learning environments.
- Ensure Data Security and Compliance: Align educational technology use with privacy, security, and compliance standards to protect student and school data.
Role Contribution
- Serve as a technology leader and coach, equipping teachers with the skills and confidence to integrate Microsoft 365 effectively into their pedagogy.
- Act as a strategic partner between IT support, teachers, and school leadership to align technology use with educational objectives.
- Support long-term technology planning, ensuring VAS stays at the forefront of digital transformation in education.
Challenges and Opportunities
- Overcoming Barriers to Adoption: Address teacher resistance and digital literacy gaps by implementing a structured professional development framework.
- Maximizing Microsoft Teams: Improve how Teams is used for learning, ensuring consistency and usability across grade levels.

Key Responsibilities
Training and Professional Development
- Design and deliver customized training for teachers on Microsoft 365 tools and best practices.
- Develop training resources in English and Vietnamese, including video tutorials, user guides, and step-by-step manuals.
- Provide one-on-one coaching, group workshops, and webinars tailored to different skill levels.
- Collaborate with school leadership to ensure technology training aligns with instructional goals.
Technology Implementation and Support
- Guide teachers in effectively integrating Microsoft tools into daily lesson planning.
- Work closely with IT support teams to troubleshoot classroom technology issues and streamline support processes.
- Act as a liaison between educators and IT to ensure smooth technology adoption.
Digital Transformation and Strategy
- Assist in the deployment and rollout of new Microsoft educational initiatives.
- Stay updated on emerging EdTech trends and best practices to continuously improve VAS’s digital learning strategy.
- Collaborate with leadership to evaluate the effectiveness of Microsoft 365 adoption and recommend enhancements.
Data and Performance Tracking
Track teacher participation and engagement in training sessions.
Collect and analyze feedback to refine professional development strategies.
Provide quarterly reports to leadership on technology adoption and impact.
2. Requirements:
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Information Technology, Instructional Design, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Certified Educator (MCE) or Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) certification.
- Additional duties
- This role requires travel between campuses to provide in-person support.
- Occasional after-school or weekend training sessions may be necessary based on teacher availability.
- Performance will be evaluated based on teacher engagement, technology adoption rates, and impact on learning outcomes.

- Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools (Teams, OneNote, SharePoint, Forms, Power Automate, etc.).

EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in K-12 education, preferably in international or bilingual school settings.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills in both English and Vietnamese.
